Mathilde

Co-Founder

About me:

Following her qualifications, Mathilde spent some time working in care, as she desired a career where she could be hands on and help others. It was here that she recognised her qualifications in sport and exercise could be better focused on those with health and mobility struggles where she could positively influence one’s quality of life, focusing on prevention and problem solving. This is where Enable Fitness was created.

Mathilde works to try and understand each individual, and what they want and need from their sessions. She developed the Strength and Mobility classes 4 years ago and has worked hard over this time to refine the classes to reflect what attendees both want and need as a long term solution to healthy aging and mobility struggles.

After years of working together, Mathilde and Matt have merged their businesses to bring you the Enable Fitness you see now.

Tamara

Instructor

About me:

Tamara has always been quite an active person, attending performing arts schools and after-school dance classes.

In 2013 Tamara had to undergo major spinal surgery due to scoliosis, where she had to learn how to walk again and get used to her new limitations.

In 2018 Tamara joined a local gym where she found her love for fitness. Joining the gym not only changed her physical appearance, but it changed how she viewed fitness and exercise altogether.

Tamara took part in multiple weightlifting events and lifted weights she never thought she could. This inspired her to qualify as a Level 2 Gym Instructor so she can share her knowledge with others who face similar struggles.

Facts about Tamara:

  • Tamara has been working in the TV and film industry as an extra since 2013 and has appeared in many TV shows and films.
  • She is trained in firearms for TV and film.
  • She has climbed Mount Snowdon, Wales.
  • Tamara and her fiancé are secret nerds and have an unhealthy amount of Lego sets.

About me:

Peter has always been active from a young age as his mum encouraged him to exercise due to some physical difficulties when growing. Through primary and secondary school he was always competing in indoor and outdoor athletics events and took part in various sports.
