Safe, Supportive Group Exercise
Our low-impact classes are designed to help people of all abilities stay active, build strength, and maintain muscle. They are especially beneficial for anyone managing joint issues, supporting healthy ageing, or keeping on top of long-term health conditions, all in a safe and supportive group environment.
Sessions are also appropriately challenging and include progressive resistance training to help improve balance and stability, support bone density, and make everyday movements (like getting up from a chair, climbing stairs, and carrying shopping) feel easier and more confident.

Frequently asked questions
What are the classes?
Our classes are resistance-based, which means we use a mix of equipment like weights, resistance bands, exercise balls, and chairs, to work the muscles encouraging them to stay strong, whilst keeping sessions as varied as possible. You can expect more of the class to be standing, with seated alternative available for anyone who needs them and chair exercises to help us work particular muscle groups.
The sessions are designed to:
- Build muscle strength and mass
- Improve balance and coordination
- Support joint mobility
- Strengthen the core
- Promote better bone density
Over time, these classes can help you feel more confident in your movement, maintain independence, reduce the risk of falls, and manage mobility issues such as arthritis.
Who are the classes for?
These classes are suitable for anyone who wants to improve their strength and mobility, including:
- People who feel their strength or mobility is changing with age
- Anyone returning to exercise after illness, injury, or surgery (with medical approval)
- Individuals who are conscious about supporting their physical health as they age people who want support to exercise alongside mobility or health issues (if in line with medical guidance)
If you’re unsure whether the classes are right for you, we recommend checking with your GP or a medical professional.
What should I expect in your classes?
Our classes are a welcoming, non-judgemental space for like-minded individuals who want to get together to improve their health and fitness. We usually structure the classes like this:
- Arrive 5 minutes before class so we can start promptly
Begin with a 5–10 minute warm-up - Move into the main resistance session, which may include exercises using bands, weights, exercise balls, bodyweight, chairs, and other equipment
- Finish with 5–10 minutes of cool-down stretches
Total class time is generally 50–60 minutes.
How many people are in your classes?
Classes are small (maximum 12 participants) so the instructor can offer supervision and guidance. If an exercise feels unsafe, painful, or confusing, your instructor will happily show alternatives or adjustments. Rest whenever you need to – there’s no need to explain.
What do I bring/wear?
You don’t need to bring anything — we provide all the equipment. Water is available at our venues, but if you prefer to have your own bottle handy during the class, feel free to bring one. We often use small weights (0.5–2.5kg). If you own a pair you prefer to use, you’re welcome to bring them.
For clothing, choose something comfortable and non-restrictive so you can move freely. Good supportive trainers with grip are important to keep you safe while exercising.
How do payments work?
You will always be offered your first class for free as a taster.
If you decide to sign up for weekly classes, payments are taken monthly, much like a membership, however, you are free to cancel at any time and are not locked in.
Can I pay as I go?
We currently do not offer pay-as-you-go at the moment, as spaces are limited and we want to make sure regular participants can benefit from consistent weekly sessions.
How are payments taken?
Payments are collected securely via GoCardless, a trusted direct debit provider. You’ll be asked to provide your name, sort code, account number, and home address. All forms are destroyed once payment is set up.
What's your pricing?
Standard membership: £35 per month (usually 4–5 classes depending on the month)
Reduced classes due to council funding may be available in some towns/villages due to local council funding, at £20/month (currently Hollesley, Tunstall and Rendlesham until August 2026). During the Christmas period, classes generally don’t run from 24th December to 2nd January, but all other sessions in December will still take place.
What happens if I can't make a class?
If you need to miss a class, you are welcome to attend another location if convenient. Just check our website for other classes, locations and times, then let your instructor or our team know you wish to change for that week.
What happens when I’m off on holiday or ill?
Your monthly membership reserves your space whether you attend or not. This allows everyone to plan confidently and ensures you have a place waiting for you. You are not able to bring payment forward for missed classes due to
sickness or holidays.
If you are away for a prolonged period of time i.e. a few months, but intend on coming back, the only way we can guarantee your place will be to continue your membership during your period of absence.
What happens if the usual instructor is away?
If your usual instructor is unavailable, a trained cover instructor will run the session you can expect the same class style, with their own personal touch.
What happens if my class falls on a public holiday?
We do not run classes over public holidays such as bank holiday Mondays and Good Friday.
If your class falls on one of these days, you will always be given the option to attend another of the classes listed here. Just message us or ask your instructor if there is an alternative class you would like to attend.
